Switzerland, Serbia and Norway are the three highest ranked teams that will miss EURO 2012
Sweden qualified for EURO 2012 last night by beating the Netherlands 3-2. Ten teams have now secured a place in the finals alongside the two co-hosts Poland and Ukraine. 8 teams are left to battle for the last 4 spots in next month’s play-offs.
From the FIFA ranking below we see that Switzerland, Serbia and Norway are the three highest ranked teams that are knocked out.
Sweden is the lowest ranked team (apart from the hosts) that have quailifed without having to go through play-offs.
Portugal and Croatia are the two highest ranked teams that still is running the risk of missing the finals.
